Being a cooperative means that PTCI adheres to the 7 Cooperative Principles to guide our business. Today we are going to highlight the 4th Cooperative Principle: Autonomy and Independence.
Cooperatives are autonomous, self-governed organizations. A Cooperative will only enter into an agreement with another organization on terms that the Cooperative maintains democratic control by their members. The cooperative remains independent, controlled by the member-owners and is governed by the Board of Trustees ensuring that PTCI always continues to serve our community with local interests at heart.
