What are PTCI text alerts?
PTCI text alerts work with GOCare which is a mobile account alert platform proactively delivering service information and 2-way SMS chat. Information can be initiated by either PTCI or the Customer with the use of KEYWORDS or texting.
Why should I use text alerts with PTCI?
Text alerts allow an opportunity to receive installation details as well as conduct 2-way text conversations with PTCI Support.
Will I constantly be getting messages from PTCI?
No. PTCI will send customers 3-5 messages per month. Examples may include service information. Customers may initiate these inquiries by using the KEYWORDS (as applicable) shown above.
Will you sell my information to others?
No. PTCI protects its customers and their account information and will never sell or share it for any reason. You will only get text messages from PTCI through the text alerts service.
How much will PTCI text alerts cost me?
PTCI does not charge for text alerts. Customers' mobile service provider may charge the mobile user to send / receive text messages depending on the terms of their mobile account.
Do I have to use PTCI text alerts?
PTCI's customers do agree to accept text messages per the Company's Terms and Conditions; however, customers may opt-out at any time by texting STOP to 1-800-562-2556.
Does Capitalization matter when I am texting to PTCI?
No. PTCI text alerts recognize upper and lower-case letters as the same.
What if I get a new mobile number?
Customers must be opted-in to the text alert system again if they get a new mobile phone number - not if they get a new phone with the same number. Please ensure you update your PTCI account with your new mobile contact number (and delete the old mobile number).
How do I Opt-Out of or stop receiving the PTCI text alerts?
To Opt-out, text STOP (without additional characters or spaces) to 1-800-562-2556.
Which wireless carriers support the PTCI text alert service?
Virtually all domestic wireless carriers support the PTCI text alert service offering. For the most current list of those carriers, please see PTCI's Terms and Conditions.
When are PTCI's two-way text support hours?
