Cosplay Guidelines

Rules for participation:

  • All weapons must be checked in before entry and are subject to inspection at any point during the event. No functioning weapons are permitted including guns, projectile weapons, knives, blunt objects, etc. This includes any explosives such as fireworks, caps, or firecrackers and chemical weapons such as mace, pepper spray, etc. No metal swords, knives, bayonets, cane-swords, sai, stars, shurikens, etc. Paintball guns, air guns, and BB guns are not allowed. Prop weapons that are capable of firing a projectile (such as toy guns) must be unloaded at all times.
  • Jagged, sharp, hard materials must be used with discretion. If your prop or costume is made of a material that can easily harm those around you in a crowded space, you will be asked to remove said item from the venue.
  • Pyrotechnics or special effects such as fireworks, flash paper, or smoke machines will not be permitted.
  • External speakers playing continually loud music are prohibited.
  • Live animals may not be used as props.
  • Do not swing at or hit anyone with your props.
  • Costumes cannot be obscene, offensive, nor endorse any form of hate or hate group.
  • Nudity not allowed. No excessive skin exposure. This is a family-friendly event.
  • Performances cannot exceed 30 seconds. No profanity.
