As we learn more about what it takes to live a happy, healthy, and productive life, businesses have taken the initiative to help promote a healthy lifestyle. PTCI was recently recognized for its efforts in doing just that through the Certified Healthy Oklahoma Program.
Currently administered by the Oklahoma State Department of Health Certified Healthy Oklahoma, the program is a free, voluntary statewide certification program that showcases businesses, schools, and congregations that have proven they are committed to supporting healthy choices through environmental and policy change. These changes help Oklahomans eat better, move more, and be tobacco-free.
Heart disease, cancer, stroke, and Type 2 diabetes are the major causes of death in Oklahoma, and a significant proportion of these conditions are preventable. Small changes in diet, exercise, and no tobacco use can reap big benefits for the health and well-being of not only the worker’s life but their families' lives as well.
PTCI strives to be a leader in the community and that includes making health and wellness a priority for today and our future.
