PTCI is a cooperative, which means we adhere to the 7 Cooperative Principles to help guide our business. Today let’s talk about the 1st Cooperative Principle: Voluntary and Open Membership.
Membership in a cooperative is open to people in the community who use the cooperative’s service and are willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, regardless of race, religion, gender, or economic circumstance.
Cooperatives operate for the benefit of their members. To become a member, means you become a partial owner of the business.
Members of the PTCI Cooperative get perks such as invitations to District and Annual Meetings, voting rights, and Capital Credits.
If you’re interested in becoming a member of PTCI, you must have PTCI landline or internet service and reside within the Cooperative service area to be eligible. You’ll also need to fill out a membership application which can be found at ptci.net under Forms and Applications.
