TEXT TO LANDLINE

PTCI Text to Landline Service

Panhandle Telecommunication Systems, marketed as PTCI, added an additional text messaging feature which allows its cellular customers to send text messages to home phones all over the US and Canada. The PTCI customer simply enters a landline number in the “TO” field of the text message, types their message and sends it off. The message is then delivered to the home phone as a voice message. The home phone recipient can even respond back using their own voice. The PTCI customer will also receive a status text message telling him if the message was delivered to a live person or a voicemail system and a reply text message if the home phone recipient replies.
